Ontario Senior of the Year Award
The Ontario Senior of the Year Award gives each municipality in Ontario the opportunity to honour one outstanding local Ontarian who after the age of 65 has enriched the social, cultural or civic life of his or her community without thought of personal or financial gain.
We are asking residents to nominate a Clarington senior who, after the age of 65, has enriched our community.
Who is eligible?
Your nominee must be:
- At least 65 years of age
- A resident of Clarington, Ontario
- A living person who has made Clarington a better place to live
Seniors who qualify for this award may have contributed in many different fields, such as the arts, literature, community service, voluntarism, education, fitness and sport, or humanitarian activities.
The deadline for submission is Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 4 p.m.
Clarington Council will present the Senior of the Year Award at a regular Council Meeting during the month of June—Seniors’ Month.
